I have a wardrobe of pregnancy dresses and fabrics, designed specifically with the pregnant female body in mind, that clients are welcome to use for their session.

I would recommend having your pregnancy photography session around the 32-36 week stage, as you will be in full pregnancy bloom.
Worried about what to wear? I have a selection of beautiful pregnancy dresses and wraps to help you feel confident and elegant.
Yes, immediate family and well behaved dogs are very welcome to share the experience!

YOUR QUESTIONS
I recommend booking your pregnancy photography session at your 20 week scan point, which gives us the best option to offer you the date you want for your session. Ideally the photo shoot should be scheduled for between weeks 32-36, when your pregnancy is in full bloom and not too uncomfortable for you.
The first thing we will do is schedule in your pre consultation with me. This where we discuss your ideas, look at example client galleries and set a date for your session to take place. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, so you feel confident and relaxed when you arrive at your session.
If you are booking hair and make up appointments please let them know it is for a photography session and book as soon as we have finalised our session date.
Hands are heavily featured in this session, so please ensure nails and hands are clean and neat.
Please remove any watches, straps or tight clothing a few hours before your session to allow any marks to disappear from your skin.
During our pre consultation we will also discuss your clothing choices and the sort of look you would like for your images. I do have a client wardrobe of maternity dresses you are welcome to choose from for your session.
I would always recommend that outfits for partners/children are kept to neutral colours, that compliment each other. I also recommend that outfits do not have logos, strong prints/checks/spots/stripes or pictures. Please ensure all outfits are ironed and fit well.
It is important that you wear well fitting underwear, ideally in a nude/skin colour. Many outfits are off the shoulder, so a strapless bra is always a great idea.
It is important that you stay well hydrated during the session. I always have bottled water, tea, coffee and refreshments available at the studio, however, please feel free to bring any snacks or drinks you would like with you.
Do bring hair brushes and make up with you to touch up during the session. Also any personal items or accessories such as jewellery, shoes, hats etc can add beautiful extra touches to your images.
Feel free to bring a dressing gown for in-between outfit changes.
When you arrive I will have everything ready for you in the studio, from a choice of gowns and fabrics to lighting and backdrops.
I will fully explain and demonstrate each pose, checking with you that you are comfortable and happy with my suggestions.
It is important that you are feeling well and relaxed, so there are plenty of opportunities for rest, drinks and snacks during the session.
